Terms of use

Last updated: [REVIEW: insert date you publish]

Agreement

These terms govern your use of the website at aedo.studio (the “Site”) operated by [REVIEW: legal entity name + ABN/ACN] (“Aedo Studio,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These terms do not cover client work. Engagements for product imagery, video, or websites are governed by a separate written agreement (statement of work) you sign with us. In the event of any conflict, the signed agreement controls.

Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or any related systems.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site without our prior written permission.
  • Submit material that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, harmful, or that contains malware.
  • Send automated, bulk, or repeated inquiries (including with bots, scrapers, or AI agents) without our prior written permission.
  • Use the contact form for anything other than a genuine business inquiry.

Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, photography, video, illustrations, design, code, and the Aedo Studio name and wordmark — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark law.

You may view the Site in a browser and share links to it. You may not reproduce, republish, modify, sell, or commercially exploit any content from the Site without our prior written permission.

Case studies featured on the Site reference work made for our clients. Brand names, products, and trademarks shown belong to their respective owners and appear with permission, or under fair dealing for portfolio purposes. [REVIEW: confirm you have written permission from every featured brand to display their work in your portfolio. If any case studies are illustrative / unreleased, label them clearly.]

Inquiries are not contracts

Submitting an inquiry through the Site does not create a contract between us. We engage with clients only after we agree on scope and you sign a statement of work. We reserve the right to decline any inquiry.

Accuracy & availability

We try to keep the Site accurate and online, but we don’t guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or up-to-date. Pricing, availability, and case-study details are indicative and may change without notice.

Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party sites (for example, our Instagram, client websites we’ve built, or our email provider). We are not responsible for the content, practices, or policies of those sites.

Disclaimer & liability

The Site is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, conditions, and representations regarding the Site. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site is limited to AUD $100. [REVIEW: confirm liability cap with counsel — for client engagements set the cap in the SOW, not here.]

Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the Site. [REVIEW with counsel.]

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here is the version in effect. Material changes will be flagged on this page for [REVIEW: e.g. 30 days]. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Contact

This is a placeholder draft. Replace every [REVIEW] tag with verified information and have a qualified legal professional review the final terms before publishing. Do not use this as the contract for client engagements — use a properly drafted services agreement.
